Cockroaches

Cockroaches …

Cockroaches … Cockroaches …

Cockroaches … Cockroaches … Cockroaches everywhere!

Beware their sordid whiskers that go up and down,

A single touch would mostly give you an itch.

“Oh you poor thing!”

Neither man or bitch these little crawlers can give you a twitch.

Your skin like a slug escaping sea water will crawl;

That’s all!

Flick the light and they will scatter.

Switch the light and their beating little yellow hearts, as their brown translucent wings, with elation will flatter.

When stepped on they won’t die and they won’t move.

Enjoying the macabre tune and groove;

Of your heels fading!

Unmoved on that concrete wall they will lurk; and you in fear an epithet blurt, “damn they’re huge!”

“Oh you poor thing!”
